We did start the day with some lunges in the round pen to see what types of groundwork will be needed. He does great with trotting and cantering. He does fairly well with “whoa” when walking with him. He will get there in time and with patience. At least the weather was finally warm enough to give him his first bath, and boy did he need it. I was a little nervous due to his fear of fly spray, and his fear of one of the cross tie stalls. We started everything nice and slow, and he did great! He just stood there and let me wash, condition, and brush him. Some of the products that I used were Mane and Tail shampoo and conditioner, and show sheen. The Show Sheen was used to help keep dirt off him if he decided to roll on the ground.
